I find Hilde ultimately eminently forgettable and definitely a little too easily led, she decides to join Oz because of what she's been told and then within 5 minutes of meeting him she's following Duo.
Personally I find Relena sets my teeth on edge, she's pretty spoiled in the beginning and I'm afraid my opinion was set before she started to grow up and change during the series (actually she goes through a sort of saintly not very prractical phase in the middle which irritates me too) so while she's probably a strong and admirable character by the end she has annoyed me for too long before that for me to actually like her. It's a shame because I think she could be quite awesome if I was able to ignore the earlier episodes.
