Tagged by [profile] salamandereNever been tagged before am ridiculously excited by the prospect.

Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 10 random things, facts, goals, or habits about yourself. At the end, choose 10 4 people to be tagged, listing their names & why you chose them. Don't forget to leave them a comment (you're it!) and to read your blog for instructions. You can't tag a person who has tagged you. Since you can't re-tag me, let me know when you've posted your blog so I can read the answers!

Eeek I have to think of ten things?

1. I've only been on LJ for 2 months and am already hopelessly addicted to the point I practically have to be dragged kicking and screaming away from my internet.
2. When I was about 12 I threw a brick through our back window in a fit of anger at my brother. I got so upset he agreed to lie and say I did it by accident. My parents thought I was lying to cover up the fact my brother did it. That is the only act of willful vandalism I have ever commited.
3. My working hours have been getting later and later, I rarely get into work before midday recently though I keep resolving to go back to normal hours (but it does mean I get to work in the evening with no students asking questions)
4. I have just finished a PhD (think I've moaned about this before) and am now working at the same university as a research fellow.
5. I'm a pagan, with a strong connection to Isis, but I'm also strongly driven by the moon (even though I ended up using the sun as a username)
6. As well as the obvious manga and anime obsessions, I'm obsessed with Dragons, Eagles and Wolves (am still looking for a nice water animal to get obsessed about to make it well rounded :-) )
7. My closest friends are still the girls I met at school and have known since I was 12. I think we are closer now we communicate by e mail and only see each other a few times a year than we were when we saw each other every day, strange  that .
8. I once ate 10 large jam donuts in 10 minutes to  win a £10 bet. I was on a sugar high for the rest of the day. However I used to eat 6 bags of crisps a day just because I wanted to.
9. I'm always resolving not to let my Mum know things and then I always tell her them within the first day of visiting her. The things she knows about my friends, just as well she never sees them and would be discrete anyway.
10. I've read most of the books I own at least 6 times, but I have read the Lord of the Rings 37 times (secretly I think this might be a bit insane).

Yikes I have to tag 4 people, OK looking at my f list for people who haven't done this yet or been tagged by someone else (please feel free to ignore this if you don't want to do it)
[profile] snakewhissperer, [profile] femaleshinigami, [personal profile] yanagi_wa, OK forgotten who else has done it or not so anyone who has not been tagged and wants to do it.

i'd never been tagged before either! it's strangely thrilling, isn't it? ::glee::
whoa, did you get sick after you ate the doughnuts? i can barely handle one!

37 times!?!?! that's AMAZING! I've only read it twice and i thought i was doing pretty well! XDDDDD but i bet you find something new each time you read, it's so vast and intricate!

Isis is Egyptian in origin, am I wrong? I don't know much about the moon in terms of beliefs but I do LOVE the moon and night time! am i a vampire??? O_o The moon is a beautiful thing to give sway to your life!

Yep Isis is Eygptian, I think I can date that fascination back to junior school when we did a project on the Eygptian's and there was just something about their mythology which caught my attention.

Actually think there might be something wrong with reading the same trilogy 37 times (it might be a little bit mad)thirteen of those were within about 3 months, I just read and re-read it without taking a break when I was about 16. I was a seriously weird child.

I'm in awe of your education *bows to you* You rock!

I read books again and again too (although I haven't read anything 37 times) :P

I take no responsibilty for the education, it just sort of happened, went to university one day didn't come back to the real world for another 8 years (and counting).

It seems such a waste to buy them and read them only once, besides there's always new angles to notice when you re-read. I will admit 37 times is a little excessive but LOTR was my first real love.

I totally agree with the book thing. I also enjoy rereading books after a long period of time to see if I'm going to relate to it in the same way. It's amazing how I'll enjoy a book differently after I've had kids, or experienced a new aspect of living.

heh... i think girls at aged 12 should be excused for most anything violent they can (and DO) do against their brothers! when i was 12, i got so angry at my brother, i threw an ashtray at him. luckily he dodged it, but it hit the wall behind him, shattered and a piece of glass flew back and cut his ear. i was so frightened by the experience, i've not thrown anything in anger since. well, at least not in anyone's direction!

i don't think i've read LotR triology 37 times, but i know i've probably read that set of books more often than any other story in my library. :) (though, i admit to skipping most of the songs/rhymes and such.)

*hugs* i'm glad to have gotten to know you a bit more through this meme!
